Category: Goalball
Day two of the 2013 IBSA Goalball African Championships was a similar day to day one excluding the exciting opening ceremony that featured on day one before the games begun. On day one the athletes and officials were treated to traditional Kenyan song and dance.
Goalball was the only item on the agenda on day two and first up for the day was Morocco and Algeria. Both teams played a good match but the Algerian experience was too much for the Moroccans and Algeria won 13-3.
Egypt kept their hopes alive of qualifying for the 2014 IBSA Goalball World Championships by defeating Ghana. The score in this match was 11-1.
Game three was the match of the day. It was between Morocco and Rwanda. These two teams are doing well so far. Rwanda took this 15-10. This leaves them in a very good place with one day of the round robin to go.
Game four was between Algeria and Kenya. This was another dominant performance from the Algerians. They won 10-0.
Day two concluded with a match between the surprise team of the tournament Rwanda and Ghana. Rwanda took this 14-4.
