Category: Football
In alignment with a new four-year term of the IBSA Football rules, comes a new four-year term of the IBSA Football Referees’ Advisory Group (RAG).
The members of the RAG for the upcoming term are as follows:
Elias Mastoras (Greece) – Chair
Nelson Glock (Brazil – expert in B1)
Gerry Behan (Ireland – expert in B2/B3)
These members were chosen based on their experience and extensive knowledge of the rules and refereeing.
The RAG advises the IBSA Football subcommittee on refereeing- and referee-related issues. This includes such items as selecting referees for major championships, the referees program, answering rule-related enquiries, reviewing and possible sanctioning of referees, evaluation of referee clinics, assisting the growth of the referee programme in developing areas, and finally the recommendation of new RAG members for the upcoming term.
Elias Mastoras, chair of the RAG and IBSA Football referees’ co-ordinator
explained that he is looking forward to working with this group and invites new referees to register with IBSA by filling in the referee form 2013-2017 to join the pool of blind football referees.
IBSA Football would like to congratulate the newly-chosen members.
