IBSA Football European Championships kick off later today

The stage is set in Berlin, Germany, for the opening of the IBSA Blind Football European Championships 2017.

The tournament brings together the top ten blind football nations in Europe, including reigning champions Turkey and 2015 runners-up Russia.

Also tipped to do well are Spain, multiple European title winners, while hosts Germany will fancy their chances in front of a home crowd.

The 10th European Championships kick off this evening at 18:15 with the opening ceremony, followed by the opening Group A fixture featuring Germany and Italy at 19:30.

First-time participants Romania will face England tomorrow at 13:30 in the second Group A match, followed by the Group B opener between Spain and newcomers Georgia. Tomorrow's third match sees defending champions Turkey take on Belgium, also in Group B.

France and Russia will play their oprning matches on Sunday, against Germany and Turkey respectively.
