At its recent meeting in Copenhagen, Denmark, the IBSA Executive Board ratified the appointments of several sports subcommittee chairs and members of two committees.

Following a stringent selection process and interviews with the nominees, the Board confirmed the following appointments to sports subcommittees:

Swimming Subcommittee: Jane Blaine, Canada, chairwoman
Chess Subcommittee: Sorin Lapadatu, Romania, chairman
Ten pin Bowling Subcommittee: Toshiaki Aomatsu, Japan, chairman
Nine pin Bowling Subcommittee: Andreja Mai, Slovenia, chairwoman
Shooting Subcommittee: Michael Whapples, UK, chairman
Showdown Subcommittee: Massimo Sanapo, Italy, new chairman

In addition, the following people were appointed to serve on IBSA committees:

Legal and Ethics Committee: Mr. Ali Bin Daud, Singapore; Mr Robert Fenton, Canada; Mrs. Sana Khelifa, Tunisia

Medical Committee: Ludwig Krabbe, Germany (classification); Jose Luis Doria, Portugal (classification); Richard Weiler, UK (medical)
