IBSA Blind Football ranking updated

Date: March 2, 2020

Category: Football

The IBSA Football Committee has released its world ranking table as of 1st January 2020. The ranking has been updated to take into account performances in several events in 2019, with points gained in 2015 dropping off the calculation.

The table features 50 teams, including three new teams which made their international debut in 2019 – Libya, Oman and Niger.

Argentina retains the number one spot thanks to strong performances at the 2019 IBSA Blind Football American Championships and the Para-Pan American Games in Lima, as well as winning last year's World Grand Prix in Japan.

Brazil remains in second spot, while Spain has moved into the top three as a result of winning the 2019 European Championships in Rome.
