The IBSA Chess Committee has confirmed that Romania is to host this year's IBSA Chess World Championships.

Călimănești is the host city for the event, which will be organised by the National Paralympic Committee of Romania and the Romanian National Association of the Blind.

The dates for the event are October 2nd-13th 2016.
