Goalball: Last call for semi-finals in Bahrain

Date: July 27, 2022

Category: Goalball

Day 3 of the 2022 IBSA Goalball Asia Pacific Championships at ISA Sport City in Bahrain ended with one surprise in the women’s tournament: the national team of Korea got the first defeat against Iran, although it may not have much impact on the final standings for tomorrow.

In the men’s tournament, Japan seems to be paving the way by remaining the only national team undefeated in Bahrain and having two players in the top three scorers. As regards the most efficient striker in the women’s competition, the Australian Brodie Smith is reinforcing her lead position. After 10 goals scored on Day 1, and seven on Day 2, today there were six more, and she is now by far the best player in the entire Championships (including men).

Tomorrow, Day 4, is the last call for the semi-finals in both tournaments, which will be taking place in the afternoon. As usual, all the action can be followed on the IBSA YouTube channel.
