The Goalball national teams of Brazil and Turkiye won the Goalball world title this Friday, in Matosinhos, at the Centro de Desportos e Congressos.

Brazil celebrated the victory against China (6-5) in the men’s competition.

The last final played was for women’s tournament and Turkiye defeated Korea by 10-4.

Brazil made history in Goalball because this was their third world title in a row, something that no team has ever achieved before.

Both teams, Brazil for men and Turkiye for women, added the world title to the Paralympic one won in Tokyo.

In the men’s bronze medal matches, Ukraine defeated Lithuania (6-2), reviving the last European final in Samsun.

On the women’s side, Israel got the bronze with its victory against Canada (4-2).
