Defending champions France and six-times European champions Spain will once again lock horns in the final of a major IBSA tournament.

Spain defeated Germany 2-0 while France overcame Turkey by the same scoreline to secure their places in the final of the 9th IBSA European Blind Football Championships in Loano, Italy. The final will be played on Saturday.

In the play-off matches for 5th to 8th place, hosts Italy posted their first victory of the tournament with a one nil victory over Greece and Russia surprised England, the match ending in a draw and the Russians coming out on top on penalties.
