Final Results: 2017 IBSA Goalball World Youth Championships

Today was the final day of competition for the 2017 IBSA Goalball World Youth Championships that were held in Budaors, Hungary.
Australian goalball fans saw national history in the making as their 19 and under women's team won the country's first-ever gold medal in a major international goalball competition by defeating a very talented Russian women's team 9-6.
In the men's competition, Team USA made their first trip to the top of the medal podium in recent years as they bested an extremely tough Brazilian team 7-3.
In other matches, Russia squeezed by host country Hungary with a 7-6 score which send them home with the bronze medal. In the women's bronze medal match, Brazil and Germany played a very low scoring match with the Brazilian women coming out on top with a 2-0 win.
