European partially sighted football championships confirmed

IBSA has announced that the 2016 IBSA B2/B3 Football European Championships for partially sighted players will take place in Antalya, Turkey, in December.

The event will be hosted by GESFED, the Turkish Blind Sports Federation, and the programme for the championships is as follows:
 
9th December Official Arrivals
10th December Visual Classifications & Official Training
11th December Visual Classifications & Technical Meeting
12th December Round Robin
13th December Round Robin
14th December Round Robin
15th December Placing and Semi Finals
16th December Final & Bronze Game, Closing Ceremony
17th December Official Departures
 
Please note that all participating countries must be in good standing with IBSA and all players must hold a valid IBSA license. For information on licensing your players please contact [email protected].
 
Sight classification for new players and players whose status is review 2016 or before will be available on December 10th and 11th. Participating countries are asked to ensure all medical documents required to carry out sight classification are uploaded to the ISAS before the event.

Spain will be looking to defend the title it won at the 2014 Europeans in Italy, defeating Russia 2-1 in the final. Ukraine took bronze at the event.
