Date: June 2, 2017

Category: Football

Ukraine and England will meet in the final tomorrow (16:00) at the IBSA Partially Sighted Football World Championships in Cagliari, Italy.

England came from behind to defeat Russia 4-3 in the first semi. Russia took a quick two goal lead before England fought back to equalise in the last five minutes of the first half.

Visibly tired, the Russians could not cope with the onslaught at the start of the second half and England soon took a two goal lead. Russia pulled one back with a few minutes to go, but England held on to reach their first major final in the partially sighted (B2-B3) category.

In the second semi-final, Ukraine looked in control of the match from the outset, and scored regularly to take a 3-0 lead. Spain scored in the final minutes of the second half, but it wasn't enough and Ukraine moved through to the final to defend the titla of worls champions they won in Korea in 2015.
