From this Friday until next Sunday, between 11 am and 5 pm (local time, in Portugal), the election process for the Goalball Athlete Representative in the IBSA Goalball Sport Committee is taking place.

The procedure was already explained here, but all the Goalball athletes registered in the ISAS data base have the right to choose one of the five candidates approved by the Committee, after fulfilling all the requested conditions to be eligible candidates.

The ballot box is located in the Tournament Director Office (TDO) at the Centro de Desportos e Congressos de Matosinhos, the site of the 2022 IBSA Goalball World Championship. This room is located on the right side of the venue’s main entrance, where all of the teams participating in the competition enter.

All the athletes that wish to vote need to go to the TDO with their national ID card or passport, to prove their identity and vote. On the ballot paper is printed (strong black ink and Braille) the name of the five candidates, with a small black box where the electors only need to make a hole with the point of the pen to validate the vote.

Athletes can vote only once.

The result of the election will be announced after the finals on December 16th.
