DR Congo joins the IBSA family

The Democratic Republic of the Congo is the latest nation to join the IBSA fold, following a unanimous decision by the IBSA Executive Board to grant interim membership to the country at a recent meeting.
DR Congo is represented in IBSA by the Fédération congolaise des sports pour aveugles (Congolese Blind Sports Federation), based in the capital Kinshasa. The federation is chaired by Mr Kalubi Eli Serge.
Full membership status will be ratified at the next IBSA general assembly.
IBSA currently has around 115 member countries from all parts of the world.
