Date: July 11, 2014

Category: Football

Hosts the Czech Republic sealed their place in the semi-finals of the IBSA Euro Challenge Cup 2014 earlier this morning with a one nil victory over Moldova. Jan Mrazek notched his second goal of the tournament to secure victory.

Thanks to the win the Czechs finish top of group A with maximum points and they will be joined in the semis by Belgium, who finished the group stage on three points.

Moldova will feature in the match for fifth and sixth place tomorrow morning.

In group B Poland had an easy 4-0 win over Romania in the final game played yesterday. Słoninka opened the scoring and then a fantastic attacking performance from Przemysław Kowalewski, who scored the first hat-trick of the tournament, clinched victory.

The final group B match between Poland and Hungary is underway and the half-time score is 0-0. As things stand Hungary would qualify for the semis alongside Poland thanks to a better goal difference than third-placed Romania.
