The IBSA Football Committee is calling on IBSA member countries to present their bids to host Partially Sighted Football regional championships in 2022.

The committee is looking for hosts for regional events in Africa, America, Asia (including Oceania) and Europe. Bids should be submitted by Monday 6th December 2021 to the IBSA Executive Director, Henk van Aller, at [email protected].

The 2022 regional championships will all be qualifying competitions for the IBSA Partially Sighted Football World Championships in Birmingham, UK, in August 2023 at the IBSA World Games. Birmingham 2023 promises to be the biggest ever festival of football for people with a visual impairment as the Men’s Blind Football and Women’s Blind Football World Championships are also on the programme.

The current Partially Sighted Football World Champions are Ukraine, who defeated England 6-2 in the final in Turkey in 2019.
