Blind football: Tokyo 2020 match schedule released

The organisers of the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games and the International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA) Blind Football have confirmed the match schedule for the upcoming Paralympics which open on 24 August.
Hosts Japan, who make their debut, and defending champions Brazil will get the competition underway with a bang in the opening two matches on the morning of 29 August.
The Japanese team will begin proceedings at the Aomi Urban Sports Park with a clash against London 2012 silver medallists France in group A.
Brazil will get their campaign to win their fifth consecutive title underway with a match against Asian champions China in other group A tie.
The two matches are due to be followed by the opening group B meetings, with Rio 2016 bronze medallists Argentina tackling African title-holders Morocco. European trophy holders Spain will take on debutants Thailand.
Brazil are scheduled to face Japan on 30 August with China meeting France, before Thailand and Morocco go head-to-head and then Spain and Argentina battle it out in the evening kick-off.
The group stage is set to conclude on 31 August, with Japan facing China and Brazil tackling France before Argentina go up against Thailand and Morocco take on Spain.
Semi-finals are planned to be held on 2 September, with the bronze-medal match and final set to take place on 4 September.
