Date: November 20, 2023
Category: Blind football
The three strongest teams of the Blind Football tournament in the Para Pan American Games – Santiago 2023 confirmed their status in the first two stages.
This Sunday, Argentina, the current world champion, Brazil, and Colombia won their matches again, starting with Brazil defeating the host national team of Chile. Ricardo and Nonato scored the goals for the victory.
In the next match, Colombia defeated Mexico with goals from Juan David Perez and Jhon Eider Gonzalez (2).
In the last match of the day, Argentina defeated Peru, with a single goal by Osvaldo Fernandes scored in the first half.
One fun fact, which is becoming perfectly normal in IBSA competitions, is that the referees of the last match between Argentina and Peru were both women. Ellen Grosskopf (Brazil) and Natalia Molina (Chile) conducted the operations, with Pamela Gutierrez (Chile) as the third referee.
