Blind Football: The American Championship kicks-off in Cordoba

The 2022 IBSA Blind Football Americas’ Championship will kick-off tomorrow in the city of Cordoba, Argentina. The Predio Liga Cordobesa pitch will be host to the competition which will crown the best continental national team in America.

Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, and Peru will play for the regional title, knowing that the best four national teams will have access to the 2023 Para Pan American Games, in Santiago (Chile); the best three national teams will get their spot in the 2023 IBSA Blind Football Men’s World Championship, as part of the 2023 IBSA World Games, in Birmingham (England); and the two finalists will be playing in the 2023 IBSA Blind Football Intercontinental Cup.

The schedule of the tournament is already known, so here is the matches’ calendar (CET):

Sunday – 23rd of October
7pm – Peru vs Argentina (2pm local time)
9pm – Chile vs Colombia (4pm local time)
11pm – Mexico vs Brazil (6pm local time)

Monday – 24th of October
7pm – Peru vs Chile
9pm – Argentina vs Brazil
11pm – Colombia vs Mexico

Tuesday – 25th of October
7pm – Peru vs Colombia
9pm – Argentina vs Mexico
11pm – Chile vs Brazil

Wednesday – 26th of October
7pm – Peru vs Mexico
9pm – Argentina vs Chile
11pm – Colombia vs Brazil

Thursday – 27th of October
7pm – Peru vs Brazil
9pm – Argentina vs Colombia
11pm – Chile vs Mexico

Friday – 28th of October
7pm – Bronze medal match
11pm – FINAL
