The organising committee of the European Paralympic Youth Games in Liguria, Italy, has confirmed that blind football (Football 5-a-side) has been removed from the games programme due to a lack of teams.

The minimum number of teams required for a viable tournament was not reached, so the LOC and IBSA have reluctantly agreed to drop the competition from the event.

The LOC has confirmed the judo and goalball events at the EPYG 2017.
