The 2022 IBSA Blind Football American Championship reaches Day 3 and Colombia shuffles the podium of the competition. In the first game of the day, Colombia’s victory (4-1) against Peru took no discussion, especially in the second half.
At the break, the Colombian national team was already winning, thanks to the goal scored by Juan David Perez, but two goals in a row by Jon Gonzalez in the last period gave Colombia the comfort to manage the match in a more secure way. Brayan Bartolo, the reference striker from Peru, shortened the difference, but Nicolas Coca signed the final result.
This was enough to propel Colombia to second place in the standings, taking out Chile of the top 3, remanning Argentina in third.
Argentina also did its part in the victory against Mexico (3-0). Froillan Padilla scored the first two goals in the first half, and Federico Accardi closed out the final score.
In the last game of the day, Brazil didn’t give any chance for Chile to reply. Four goals in the first half and two more in the second half made the final score (6-0). Maxuel Valente (2), Jardel Soares (2), Raimundo Nonato, and Tiago Silva were the scorers in service.
