Blind football coaches meet to prepare coaching manual

Date: November 25, 2018

Category: Football

A group of blind football coaches from Europe is meeting to draw up the guide as part of the IBSA Blind Football Development Project Europe.

The coaching manual is aimed at people who are starting out in the sport such as football coaches in mainstream clubs, physical education teachers, volunteers and even parents of visually impaired children.

The guide will include training on basic skills like controlling the ball and running with the ball, easy-to-understand information on the rules of the game, and tips to ensure training is safe and fun.

The manual will be published by June 2019 thanks to support from UEFA and as a key output of the IBSA Blind Football Development Project Europe for the 2018-2019 season.

The IBSA Football Committee would like to thank Fédération Française Handisport for hosting the meeting.
