Blind Football: Brazil wins the first ‘El Clásico’ in the American Championship
Date: October 25, 2022

Spotlights on the big game of Day 2 of the 2022 IBSA Blind Football American Championship. Argentina, the host national team, played against the old rival Brazil in the first ‘El Clásico’ of the tournament.
The draw registered at half time mirrored the balance between the two squads. The inspired number 10 of Argentina, Braian Pereyra, author of a hat-trick in the first match against Peru, wasn’t available this time and the squad may have resent it. The single goal scored by Raimundo Nonato in the second half decided the final result.
Day 2 began with the draw between Peru and Chile (1-1). Chile scored first, by Victor Silva (his second goal in the competition), during the first half, and Peru, by Brayan Bartolo, tied in the second half.
The last match had the biggest score so far. Colombia recovered well from the defeat the day before against Chile and took the best out of Mexico, with a 5-1 victory. For Colombia, Gonzalez Jhon (2), Juan David Perez (2), and Lopez Duvian scored the goals.
