Blind Football Asian Championships reach semi-final stage

We're down to the wire now at the IBSA Blind Football Asian Championships as today sees semi-final action and qualification for Tokyo 2020 for two more teams.
The first semi-final kicks off at 15:30 local time when Paralympic silver medallists Iran takes on the hosts Thailand. In addition to a place in tomorrow's final and a shot at the Asian title, the winner of the match will also qualify for next year's Paralympic Games in Tokyo.
In the second semi (18:00) Group A winners and reigning Asian Champions China will face Japan for a spot in the final. If China reaches the final it will also qualify for Tokyo 2020, while Japan is already sure of a slot as the host nation.

The top two teams at the IBSA Blind Football Asian Championships will join Spain, France, Brazil, Argentina and Japan in qualifying for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games. The final qualifier will be the winner of the IBSA Blind Football African Championships in Enugu, Nigeria, next month.
In today's morning match, South Korea defeated Oman 1-0 on penalties, following a 0-0 draw, to take 7th place at the tournament.
