Blind Football Asian Championships match day one report
Date: December 12, 2017
Category: Football
Play is underway at the IBSA Blind Football Asian Championships in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with one game in each group on match day one.
China and Thailand opened pool A in the inaugural match of the tournament. China took a two goal lead but Thailand pulled one back with a magnificent 15-metre strike following a free-kick.
Thailand pushed for an equaliser but couldn't find a way through the well-organised Chinese defence, so the final score was China 2 Thailand 1.
Today's second game saw a group B clash between current Asian champions Iran and South Korea, and it was one-way traffic as Iran defeated the Koreans 3-0.
