Blind Football: Argentina is taking the lead at home in the American Championship

Argentina, Chile, and Brazil started with a victory in the kick-off of the 2022 IBSA Blind Football American Championship. The tournament got its first day of competition this Sunday with the host national team in a strong win against Peru: 5-1.

Brayan Pereyra, wearing the magic jersey number 10, was up to expectations and signed the first hat-trick of the competition. Two of them in the first half, against the lonely goal of Peru, by Brayan Cúmaco, score at half-time. In the second half, Argentina continued to charge the opponent and three more goals (another one by Pereyra and two more by Matias Oliveira and Ignacio Oviedo) made the final result.

In the second match of Day 1, Chile beat Colombia by the narrowest difference (1-0), with a single goal by Victor Silva, another number 10 shining at the Predio Liga Cordobesa pitch, in the city of Córdoba.

To close the first day of competition, Brazil had some trouble taking the best out of Mexico. The single goal that marked the victory was scored only in the second half by Tiago Silva.
