IBSA Judo athletes in Azerbaijan to enjoy higher profile

Blind and partially sighted athletes in Azerbaijan are set to become household names thanks to a three-way agreement signed between the National Paralympic Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan, ASAN Radio and the Azerbaijan Judo Federation (AJF) on 30th of January. 

The memorandum was signed by the president of Azerbaijan NPC Ilgar Rahimov, ASAN Radio director Emin Musavi and AJF Secretary General Elmar Babanli. Among other areas for co-operation and collaboration, it covers support for information and communication in blind sports events.

The first event to benefit from the agreement will be the IBSA Judo Grand Prix Baku 2019, set to take place in the capital city, Baku, from May 10th to 15th 2019.
