The men’s Blind Football national team of China won the gold medal in the 4th edition of the Asian Para Games.

The decision in the final match with Iran was known in the penalty shoot (2-1), after 0-0 in regular time.

Meng Liu scored the first shot for China, but Morteza Karimiamaleh equalised for Iran. Ruiming Zhou scored the penalty that gave the title to the host national team.

“Our match was intense”, started Ruiming Zhou. “We are grateful for the support from the audience and our fans. We are delighted and very happy to secure this victory, as our coach had expected. I would like to tell everyone that we will also be fearful during our training. It is the encouragement from our coach and teammates that has enabled us to persevere. I hope that those who face difficulties will not give up. As long as they don’t give up, success is definitely within reach”.
