Spain and Argentina book places in Blind Football WGP semis

Spain and Argentina have secured slots in the semi-finals of the 2019 IBSA Blind Football World Grand Prix after two wins apiece in their group stage matches.
Spain leads Group A on six points following wins over Colombia on the opening day and Russia yesterday, while Argentina, also on maximum points, sits at the top of Group B thanks to victories in their matches against Thailand and England.
Japan is second in Group A following a draw with Russia and a win yesterday over Colombia. England lies second in Group B on three points, ahead of Turkey in third spot and Thailand in fourth.
The IBSA Blind Football Grand Prix, hosted by the Japan Blind Football Association in Tokyo, Japan, has gathered eight of the top teams from Asia, America and Europe for the first major tournament of the year.

Second spots in the groups and a place in Saturday's semi-finals will be decided today as Argentina take on Turkey (10:00 local time) and England face Thailand (12:30) in Group B, followed by Japan versus Spain (15:00) then Colombia against Russia (17:30).
