Baltiska Sports Hall, the main venue for the IBSA Goalball World Championships in just a couple of months in Malmo, Sweden, was the venue this weekend for the annual Malmo Lady and Men Intercup.
Competition was fierce as many of the world's top teams signed up for the tournament to secure some game time at the world championships venue, and it was Brazil's men's team and Russia's women who came away with the gold medals and winners' trophies.
Brazil defeated Germany 12-2 in the final of the men's tournament to take gold, while Belgium beat USA 9-2 to take bronze.
In the women's event the final was a far tighter affair, with Russia pipping Turkey at the end by 7 goals to 6. USA took bronze thanks to a 3-2 victory over Brazil.
