The IBSA Football Committee is taking development of the sport to new parts of the world in the coming days as Chairman Ulrich Pfisterer visits Australia and New Zealand to boost the game in Oceania.

First stop is Melbourne, Australia, where a two-day workshop with local players and coaches will be held this coming weekend to promote the game in the region. Meetings with local partners and a press conference complete the busy schedule.

The Melbourne workshop is run in partnership with Blind Sports & Recreation Victoria in support of the Victoria B League. Also participating in the project, supported by Blind Sports Australia, are Melbourne City Football Club, City in the Community, Social Goal and the Victoria Football Federation.

Pfisterer then heads to Auckland, New Zealand, for the official launch of the sport in the country by Blind Sport New Zealand and IBSA on Friday 12th August. The following day an open training session will be held for allcomers at Saint Kertigern Boys' School.

IBSA's development work in Oceania includes providing blind footballs and other equipment.
