In preparation for the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games in September, the IBSA Judo refereeing team came together with their Olympic counterparts for a two-day seminar on July 2nd-3rd in Barcelona, Spain.

For the first time ever, the Olympic and Paralympic referees attended a joint seminar to gear up for Rio. The weekend included theoretical video analysis of around 110 in-match cases from top-level competitions and a hands-on demonstration to study live situations.

The judo competition at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games will take place at Carioca Arena 3 from September 8th to 10th.
