Following the success of IBSA's regional Goalball championships in the Americas (Toronto, Canada) and in Europe (Kaunas, Lithuania), the 2015 IBSA Goalball Asia/Pacific Championships are off to blazing start.

This regional championship tournament is hosted by the National Paralympic Committee of China and the Asia Paralypmic Committe Centre of Excellence (China National Goalball Training Centre), Hangzhou, China.  This tournament is the last opportunity for Goalball teams from the Asia and Oceania regions to qualify for the 2016 Paralympic Games.  The top ranked men's and women's teams (not otherwise qualified for the 2016 Paralympic Games) will earn a Rio qualification slot for their country.

The tournanent runs from 8-12 November with teams playing each other in a single round-robin system before moving on to placement games ont the final competition day.
