The IBSA Partially Sighted Futsal European Championship in Antalya, Türkiye, is set to kick off this Friday, November 1, 2024, with the final match scheduled for November 10, 2024. IBSA Football Sport Committee and the Türkish Federation have been working diligently over the past few weeks to ensure everything is ready for the teams’ arrival in Antalya.

Five teams will be competing in the tournament: host nation Türkiye, Ukraine, England, Spain, and Italy. We anticipate a highly competitive tournament with high-quality matches.

The IBSA Partially Sighted Futsal Referee Coordinator (Toni Lehtinen) has appointed referees from Türkiye, Finland, England, Portugal, and Spain to officiate the matches. The tournament will also feature a female referee, promoting equality and fairness. “It is important that all referees, regardless of gender, have the opportunity to showcase their skills”, Toni Lehtinen says.

The “only the captain can approach the referee” rule, introduced in the European Football Championship, will also be implemented in this tournament.
