Goalball: Here comes the day of all decisions on the stage group in Euro A

The road in the stage group of the 2023 IBSA Goalball European Championships is getting narrower! The standings are getting ready for the final round, and several national teams have already decided their fate.
In men’s Group A, Lithuania and Germany already secured first and second place, respectively. They both won their matches today, and even with the German squad having completed their four matches, which means they will rest this Wednesday, second place is guaranteed. Great Britain, Belgium, and Greece will decide tomorrow the rest of the places, with Great Britain and Greece playing with each other and Belgium, already last in the group, facing the strong Lithuania.
In Group B, Türkiye and Ukraine are leading the standings; both won their matches this Tuesday, but tomorrow there is a match not to miss: Türkiye vs Israel will decide which team will get the second place once Ukraine has an advantage over both of them.
In the women’s competition, Türkiye and Israel have already secured the lead in Groups C and D, respectively. The Paralympic and World champions, Türkiye had the day off today but will return tomorrow for the last match with Ukraine, which may interfere with the second place in Group C. The British ladies just defeated Ukraine today (7-1) and will be waiting on the stands for the outcome of the only match of the group this Wednesday.
In Group D, Israel is already the leader, no matter what happens. They still have to face Hungary tomorrow, the last place in the group, and the result will not mess with the first place. Greece has already played their four matches, which means that they will only know from the stands what their fate will be. France and Finland will play for third place, and only France is in a position, in case of victory, to take second place off Greece.
