The local organising committee and the IBSA Football Subcommittee have confirmed the exact dates for this year's world championships in B1 football.

The 6th IBSA Blind Football World Championships will be held in Tokyo, Japan, from November 13th to 25th.

For the first time ever twelve teams will be invited to play in the tournament, including an African nation. Brazil will start the event as favourites as they defend the title they won in England in 2010, defeating Spain 2-0 in the final.
