Russia tops medal table at 2011 IBSA Judo European Championships

Russia’s judo team led the way at the recent 2011 IBSA Judo European Championships, held at the K2 Leisure Centre in Crawley, United Kingdom.

At the end of the three-day competition, Russia had amassed four gold medals, six silvers and five bronze medals.

Second in the table was the Ukraine with three golds, one silver and six bronze, while Azerbaijan came third with two golds, one silver and one bronze.

The host team from the United Kingdom also took two golds at the championships, and nine other countries featured on the medal rostrum at some stage in the event, making a total of thirteen countries winning some type of medal.
