Rio 2016 Football 5-a-side match schedule published

Eight teams from four continents will meet to contest the medals in the tournament. Three-times Paralympic gold medallists Brazil are the team to beat.
The draw for the tournament was held in Rio in April. Hosts and reigning Paralympic and IBSA World Championships Brazil face Morocco, Turkey and Iran in Group A, while IBSA World Games gold medallists Argentina take on Mexico, Russia and China in Group B.
Africa is represented at the tournament for the first time ever.

Competition takes place at the Olympic Tennis Centre and kicks off on Friday September 9th at 9am local time when the hosts take on African Champions Morocco. The second match in the match day 1 morning schedule sees European Championships runners-up Russia take on Asian Championships runners-up China at 11:00.
At 4pm European and Asian Champions Turkey and Iran meet, and the first day closes with an all-American tie as Argentina face Mexico.
Group stage matches continue on September 11th and 13th before placement matches and the semi-finals on Thursday 15th.
The medal matches are on Saturday 17th at 14:00 (bronze medal match/3rd-4th place play-off) and 17:00 (gold medal match/final).
