In order to deal with the constantly growing number of active Showdown players throughout Europe a new system of play has been shaped by the IBSA subcommittee for Showdown. New are not only the scoring system and the pre-defined tournament schedule, but also the coefficient which will determine the number of players a country is allowed to send to the European Championships. The European Championships are scheduled for August in Haninge, Sweden.
