Judo news from Toronto Parapans

Brazil leads the medal table on two golds after the second day of judo competition at the Toronto 2015 Parapan American Games.

First on the top spot on the podium for Brazil was Michele Ferreira, who won the women's -52kg category on Wednesday. In yesterday's competition it was Abner Nascimento in the men's – 73kg weight class.

Brazil also took bronze in men's -81kg.

Second in the medal table is Venezuela on one gold and one bronze. Marcos Falcon won the men's -66kg category while the bronze medal came in men's -73kg.

Mexico and Uruguay sit joint third in the medal table with one gold medal apiece. Eduardo Avila won gold int he men's -81kg for the Central Americans, while Uruguay's gold was won by Henry Borges in the men's -60kg.

The medal table is completed by Argentina in fifth (two silvers and one bronze), hosts Canada, Colombia and Cuba in joint 6th place with one silver and one bronze, and Puerto Rico and the United States in joint 9th place on one bronze.
