The gold medals were spread on competition day 1 in judo at the Seoul 2015 IBSA World Games, with four different countries from three continents taking gold.

In the men's -60kg Mouloud Noura from Algeria was the winner, while the men's -66kg title went to Utkirjon Nigmator from Uzbekistan

in the women's competition the Ukraine's Svitlana Chepurina was triumphant and the home crowds saw Korea's Ha Na Seo take gold in the -57kg category.
