On June 4, 2025, the IBSA Executive Board held an online meeting chaired by President Ilgar Rahimov. The meeting was attended by Board members and representatives of the IBSA Administration.

Key topics and decisions of the meeting:

• Preparation for the Extraordinary General Assembly of IBSA, scheduled to take place on October 25–26, 2025, in Antalya, Turkey, was discussed. Special attention was given to proposed amendments to the IBSA Constitution, defining strategic directions for the organization’s future development, and preparing the invitation package and informational materials for the delegates.
• Executive Director Rufat Hajili presented a report on the work of the Administration for the years 2023–2024 and the current period of 2025. Specific instructions were given to strengthen the management of classification processes and improve their quality.
• IBSA Administration Sports Manager Mariano Travaglino reported on the activities of the Sports Committees following the appointment or reappointment of their respective Chairs, highlighting the need to enhance coordination and long-term planning.
• An updated report on preparations for the IBSA World Games 2027 was presented. The Games are planned to be held in May 2027 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The Board confirmed its full support for the successful organization of the event.
• Financial Manager Narmin Zarbalieva presented a detailed report on the execution of the 2025 budget and proposals for the 2026 budget. Information was also provided on the progress of the financial audit of IBSA’s activities for 2024.

IBSA continues to actively develop sports for blind and visually impaired athletes worldwide, strengthening international cooperation and improving internal processes.
