"The first IBSA Great Britain Grand Prix will be held at British Judo’s Centre of Excellence, Walsall, Birmingham, on 4th and 5th June 2016 and will be followed by a Visually Impaired training camp, 6th-8th June 2016, at our world class training facilities.

British Judo are excited to be hosting this new event in the run up to the 2016 Rio Paralympic Games, in what is likely to be the last competition for Visually Impaired judoka before the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.

The IBSA Great Britain Grand Prix will be a fantastic opportunity for all nations to use this event to prepare their athletes for the Games and also make good use of our world class training facility to aid final preparation and access quality Randori. We look forward to seeing you in Birmingham.

British Judo hosted the 2011 Visually Impaired European Championships and will now for the first time host a IBSA Judo open competition and we would like to invite judoka from around the world to join us for the competition and training camp.

The event outlines will be available by the end of February 2016."
