IBSA signs contract with IPC for athlete registration system
Recently, at a meeting in Bonn with the International Paralympic Committee, Jannie Hammershoi, IBSA President, signed a contract with Xavier Gonzalez, CEO of the IPC.
IBSA will make use of a similar system to the IPC system for the registration of members and athletes. It will be a solid and secure database providing for the blind sports movement, the groundwork for registration, classification cards, licensing, events, etc.
From 1st January 2015 all IBSA athletes must be registered on the IBSA Sport Administration System (ISAS). In this way IBSA will have all data regarding athletes and their data registered on a central database. Please be aware that no athlete can be presented for classification without FIRST being registered on the ISAS!
More information and instructions how to register your athletes will follow very soon. Please check on the IBSA website http://www.ibsasport.org/ibsa-members/ to ensure your main contact address is correct; if not, please contact IBSA Secretary General Henk van Aller at [email protected] as soon as possible, otherwise you will not be able to register and your athletes may not be eligible to participate in upcoming IBSA events.
