Results from the IBSA Judo World Cup Eger 2015

Full results, the final medal table and contest sheets from the IBSA Judo World Cup, which concluded yesterday in Eger, Hungary, are available – click on the link above to view or download the results.

in addition to the senior tournament, a junior tournament took place involving 45 judokas competing in 5 weight categories.
 
Following IJF refereeing rules a trial of a referee system was successfully conducted.
 
The Fair Play Committee of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) presented the Fair Play award to Ms. Demircan Guler from Turkey for her heroic gesture during the IBSA World Championships last year in Colorado Springs.

The award was presented by Dr. Kamuti Jenő, Chairman of the Fair Play Committee, Bert Van De Flier (Treasurer), Mrs. Jannie Hammershoi, IBSA President, and Mr. Norbert Bíró, Chairman of the IBSA Judo Committee.
 
A three-day training camp begins this morning with around 125 judokas taking part. During the 3-day long training camp an international coaching seminar on how to teach blind judokas judo techniques is planned.

The international coaching seminar, involving 30 coahces from 15 countries, is partly supported by IJF.

The IBSA Judo Committee will publish the updated ranking table later this week.
